Sophie joined the Jasmin Vardimon Company in 2021 as Community & Partnerships Coordinator and was appointed Creative Learning Manager in 2025.
Sophie is responsible for overseeing the Creative Learning programme at Jasmin Vardimon Company. This includes strategic development of the Company’s educational offers, and developing innovative skills pathways for young people and emerging creative professionals.
Previous / Other Experience
Sophie is a sound artist and composer of experimental music. Her interests include improvisation, listening, experiences of silence, and collaborations with other artists and art forms. She completed a PhD in composition at Canterbury Christ Church University in 2022.
Recent commissions and international realisations of Sophie’s music include Ideas of Noise (UK), Electric Spring Festival (UK), Margate NOW (UK), Soundwave Festival (USA), Sound Thought (UK), Amsterdam Wandelweiser Festival (NL), and Extradition (USA).
Sophie’s music has been released by Sawyers Editions, and August Two Editions. She has been featured as a performer on the release of Peter Nagle’s Nexus collection (2021).
