Wound by AΦE
Inspired by events at the time in Europe and the Middle East, this piece explores dictatorship, armed conflict, religion and ideology and their crushing effect on population, forcing many people to flee and seek asylum outside of their home countries. Whilst impacting European institutions, politically and socially, the security threats propagating from Syria to Europe result in terrorist attacks becoming very direct and real.

Human Marvels by Vinicius Salles
Inspired by Human Marvels, what used to be an exhibition of biological rarities and “freaks of nature”. This performance is a devised interpretation trying to recreate remote seaside town entertainment, but here offering an inquiry of social judgments, acceptance of difference, and questioning the superficial assumptions of the “other”. Real insights from the dancers are mixed to create a healthy discussion around superficial bias of gender, class, love, social relations and identities.
Music: Elaine Thomazi-Freitas
Costumes: Jennifer Gregory and Stephanie Lane
