DANCE INTO CIRCUS: New Collaboration with Circus Space
We are delighted to announce a groundbreaking new collaboration with Circus Space.
This four-day intensive workshop will provide new opportunities for both Circus Artists and Dancers.
Taking Jasmin Vardimon’s unique choreographic style as a starting point you will be encouraged to set aside pure technique and push yourself beyond ‘what you think you can do’. You will be encouraged to develop your dance practice in conjunction with Circus Artists. By layering pure movement with circus skills, character, intention and meaning we aim to discover a more versatile and complete dancer. You will also have the opportunity to explore the possibilities presented by the full range of circus disciplines both ground-based and aerial.
The workshop will be led by Jasmin Vardimon Company members and supported by circus aerialist Bret Pfister.
For professional circus artists (no previous dance experience required) and professional dancers (no previous circus experience required).
The workshop will take place from 6th-9th April 2010, 10am to 6pm in the Combustion Chamber at Circus Space, Coronet Street, London, N1 6HD
Price - £180
