Developed with the mission to encourage, cultivate, and nurture young talent, our distinctive professional development programmes offer participants the unique opportunity to train as versatile and multi-disciplinary performers under the guidance of one of the world’s leading female choreographers.

Providing an insight into Vardimon’s methods & artistic process, and with a focus on exploring the dialogue between dance and theatre, our programmes are designed to foster artistic growth and develop well-rounded performers, while bridging the gap between student and professional practice.

JV2 Professional Development Diploma provides participants with a unique opportunity to train and develop as versatile and multi-disciplinary performers, culminating in public performances, alongside Jasmin Vardimon Company.

JV2 are likely to work closely with the main company.

With its direct relationship to one of the foremost creative minds in the UK, the programme offers participants access to the processes of Jasmin Vardimon Company and the opportunity to learn the technical foundations of dance theatre, as well as the specific approach developed by Vardimon. Alongside dance techniques, the JV2 Professional Development Diploma explores theatrical skills, voice coaching, body conditioning, analytical and education techniques, music and the visual arts.

JV2 is designed for a small group of participants, allowing one on one interaction with Jasmin Vardimon and company members. It is an ideal opportunity for dancers to deepen their knowledge of Vardimon’s methodology and apply it to their own creative exploration.

Working side by side with the professional touring company in repertoire rehearsals, participants will gain an insight into the working environment of a touring company. Vardimon and guest choreographers will create works for the group, transforming them into the JV2 Company, who celebrate the end of the programme with performances, showcasing their work. Participants will also gain experience and guidance in education delivery through Jasmin Vardimon Company methods, building confidence as dance educators of future generations.

It is hoped that from this programme, performers will be selected to enter the Jasmin Vardimon Company, go forward to lead educational work under the Jasmin Vardimon Creative Learning Programme or continue as successful artists in their chosen path*.

*85% of all JV2 graduates are currently employed in the sector, 44 graduates have joined the company or a company project: Pathways to Employment 2019.
